RTI & PIL are citizens democratic weapons:
Right to Information (RTI) and Public Interest Litigation (PIL) are two of the most powerful tools in the hands of citizens to demand transparency, accountability, and justice in governance.
RTI empowers every citizen to seek information from any public authority. It breaks the walls of silent data in government offices and turns the spotlight onto decisions, funds, and files that affect our everyday lives.

With a single application, the common man can ask: Where did the money go? Why was a policy changed? Who was responsible? RTI shifts the balance of power from rulers to the ruled.
PIL, on the other hand, is the voice of the collective conscience in the courtroom. When citizens’ rights are violated and corrupt schemes fail to reach the poor and needy, PIL provides a legal platform for the voiceless. Any concerned citizen can approach the judiciary, not just for personal grievances, but for the greater good of the public.
Together, RTI and PIL are not just legal tools, but they are instruments of democratic awakening. The information is transparent and can be shared everywhere without any hesitation and then truth dominates the fake media spread as well. They remind the state, you are answerable, and reminds the citizen, you are powerful.
In a healthy democracy, RTI and PIL are not optional, but they are vital, like breath and heartbeat for justice to truly live.
Use your tools of democracy as a joint force with JAN (Justice Access Network). We assist in any feasible RTI and PIL applications. JAN is a group of dedicated individuals serving society. Do come and join JAN, and make it bigger for a better society!
